School Events: 2019 – 2020

September 2019:

  • Cluster Level Department Sports
    Our students won the first place in the following events:
    Shuttle Badminton U-14 and U-17,
    Handball U-17,
    Throwball U-14 and U-17,
    Basketball U-14 and U-17.
    Apart from the above events, our students also won the General Championship and Individual Championship at some of the other sports events.

October 2019:

  • Divisional Level Department Sports
    Our students qualified for the Divisional Level Sports in the following events:
    4 students were selected for the U14 and U17 Shuttle Badminton for the Divisional Level.
    10 students were selected for the U14 and U17 Cricket for the Divisional Level.
    10 students were selected for the U14 and U17 Basket ball for the Divisional Level.

November 2019:

  • National Level Department Sports
    Our students qualified for the National Level School Games Championship held in Chindwara, Madhya Pradesh and enabled team Karnataka to win the bronze medal. Master Sujnyan Kini was appointed as the captain of the U-17 Karnataka Badminton Team.

December 2019:

  • Annual Sports Meet 2019
    The Annual Sports Day was held on 13th December 2019. Mr. Cajetan D’Souza MP.Ed, renowned Goan football player who represented University level and Salgaocar Club and P.Ed teacher at Loyola High School, Margao was the Chief Guest and did the honours of giving away the prizes and trophies. The students displayed their talents in the form of a prayer, dance, various drills and march past. Our young brass band gave a very good account of themselves during the entire event.

January 2020:

  • Eddie Memorial Football Tournament 2019
    St. Paul’s successfully organized the 54th edition of the Fr. Eddie Memorial Football Tournament. This year there were 18 participating teams. Former Paulite and Manager of St. Paul’s – Rev. Fr. Ronald D’Souza SJ was the Chief Guest.
    Phoenix School (Honaga) emerged as the winners.
  • Patrick D’Lima U-13 Cricket Tournament
    Rev. Fr. Patrick D’Lima Under 13 Inter-School Cricket Tournament was inaugurated on 14th January 2020 by Rev. Fr. Ronald D’Souza SJ (Manager of St. Paul’s and Rector of the Jesuit House), and Mr. Nandkumar Malatwadkar (Former Ranji Trophy Player) were the guests of honour. Rev. Fr. Anthony Pereira SJ (Principal – Milagres School, Khanapur) was the Chief Guest at the Finals.
    A total of 10 schools participated in this prestigious tournament. KLS school was the winner this year.
