School Events: 2016 – 2017
August 2016:
- ENVISTA 2016
The boys of our high school section participated in the various competitions of ENVISTA 2016, organized by the Cabinet members of St. Joseph’s Convent High School (Belgaum) and won the General Championship (among twelve participating schools). - Alphia 2016
St. Paul’s won the General Championship – Alphia 2016 organized by Dnyan Prabhodhan Mandir School (Belgaum). - DRASIDA 2016
The boys also won the General Championship in DRASIDA – drama, skit and dance competition organized by the cabinet members of Divine Providence Convent High School, (Belgaum). - Pratibha Karanji 2016
St. Paul’s organized the Inter-School Cultural and Talent Competition Pratibha Karanji 2016 on the 30th August 2016 for the 35 schools situated in the camp cluster region. Important Dignitaries like Shri. B. M. Nalatwad – Block Education Officer, Shri. Chalgeri – Belagavi Regional Co-Ordinator, Shri. Javalekar – Education Co-Ordinator, and Smt. B. J. Kalimirchi – Cluster Resource Person witnessed the competitions and encouraged the participants by awarding prizes and certificates to the winners.
September 2016:
- Infinitum Vyoma 2016
Our students won the Infinitum Vyoma 2016 General Championship organized by Jain Heritage School (Belgaum). - Lakshya 2016
The primary boys won the Lakshya 2016 General Championship organized by Bharatesh Central School. - KRONOS 2016
The Cabinet Members of the school along with the high school students successfully organized the fifth edition of– KRONOS 2016 on the 9th and 10th September 2016 in which 14 neighbouring schools participated. This year K.L.E. International School won the General Championship and Divine Providence School were the Runners-up.
October 2016:
- Paul’s were the winners of various competitions organized by S.K.E. Society (Belgaum) held at R.P.D. and G.S.S. college campus (Belgaum), and were declared as the General Champions.
November 2016:
- Shabdotsav 2016
The Cabinet Members of our school organized ‘Shabdotsav’ – a Hindi elocution competition for the students of Std. VI to X on 16th November 2016. The students of Std. VI participated actively in the Hindi recitation competition. For VII Std. it was story telling. VIII Std. recited couplets of ancient poets. IX and X Std. were given various interesting topics for the speech competition. - Aruppe Musical Fiesta 2016
During the evenings of 24th and 25th November 2016 a Musical Fiesta – Aruppe Musical Fiesta 2016 was organized by the Parent Teacher Association of St. Paul’s. Students and parents from eleven neighbouring schools participated and had an enjoyable evening. Food stalls and games stalls were set up to keep the public entertained. Two pony horses kept the toddlers happy and entertained. - Infernus 2016 Interschool Competition
St. Paul’s emerged general champions of the Infernus 2016 Interschool Competition which was organized by Love Dale School (Belgaum). - Phantasia 2016 Interschool Competition
At the primary level, St. Paul’s and Blooming Buds School were declared joint winners of the Phantasia 2016 Interschool Competition organized by Love Dale School, (Belgaum).
January 2017:
- AVID 2017
St. Paul’s emerged the runners-up at the AVID 2017 – an Interschool Cultural and Literary Competition organised by Amruta Vidhyalayam High School, Belagavi on 3rd and 4th January 2017. Seven schools participated in this event. - Inter-school Elocution Competition
St. Paul’s won the third place at the Inter-school Elocution Competition organized by Divine Providence Convent High School, Belgaum on 18th January 2017. - SPARK – Tramedy (tragedy & Comedy)
On 21st January 2017 Master Keith Swamy won the First Prize at the SPARK – Tramedy (tragedy & Comedy) event at the Inter-school Competition organized by K.L.S. Public School, Piranwadi, Belagavi. - Inter-School Drawing Competition
This was conducted by our school on 21st January 2017. Invitations were sent to 15 neighbouring schools and 69 participants from 9 schools participated actively in the competition. The high school students were asked to sketch a portrait of Saint Mother Teresa. The primary students were asked to draw and paint on the topics – love, peace and kindness. Mr. Lawrence Joseph – Art Master, was the judge for the competition. To motivate the participants the school authorities provided them with drawing sheets, colour boxes, pencils, and snacks. - March Past and Band Competition
On the 22nd January 2017, the high school students and band boys participated in the march past and band competition organized by the Rotary Club of Belgaum Central. Our band boys won the second prize. They are being trained by Mr. R. Bajantri.
February 2017:
- Singing Competition Cum Talent Search
A singing competition cum talent search was held for the primary students of our school on 7th February 2017. The students were encouraged to sing a devotional, patriotic or meaningful song in any language. 15 good singers were identified.
