Vice – Principal

An Active and Versatile Vice Principal

Fr. Seby, as he fondly called, was born on New Year’s Day in 1983 in Londa to simple, devout, farming parents. After completing his high school education in his home town Londa, he completed his further college education in Belgaum and Goa. During his college studies he was also working in a private firm to sustain himself. It was here in his work place that he experienced God’s Call and this vocation was further strengthened by the prayers and support of his parents and his uncle Rev. Fr. Augustine. Fr. Seby’s brother, Fr. Peter Pereira is also serving as a Carmelite Priest in Goa and both were ordained to the Priesthood on 30th December 2017 by Bishop Peter Machado (now Archbishop of Bangalore) – a Paulite Alumnus of the elite 1969 batch. Fr. Seby’s first appointment was in Xavier Training College, Desur wherein he helped some of our young scholastics to pursue their Priestly studies. He played a major part in making the campus go green by installing a Solar Plant in the campus. He took over as a Vice Principal, of St. Paul’s High School during the testing times of pandemic on 1st of August 2020.

Fr. Seby is very versatile and dynamic in his approach and has a vision very distinct from others. He is also a good sportsman in volleyball, table tennis, badminton and athletics.

This is Fr. Sebastian’s vision for St. Paul’s : “I hope to work together and see that our school is fully equipped to promote all round development in our students be it physical, social, spiritual, ecological or technological – thus to write a new chapter in the history of this long standing school. The school atmosphere is friendly, healthy and encouraging to stand with one another, speak to another, give chance to others to give an equal opportunity to communicate openly with one another, in short – a healthy collaboration in and around the school campus. My idea of a better school is to see each one taking care of the common home, to set up new solar plants and to go green in St. Paul’s. To see another sister branch of St. Paul’s of ICSE campus in Belgaum. To see our school to be one and not to measure the success of our students by the weight of the school bags, not by the use of talents and technology, rather it has to help the students to reach their full potential which God has blessed them.”
