School Events: 2017 – 2018
June 2017:
- Magis de Achos Literary Event
The Cabinet Members organised a Literary Event cum competition – Magis de Achos from 21st to 23rd June 2017 for the students of Std. V to X. The students participated in the recitation, speech, debate and mock press. Mrs. Sucheeta Raijade, Mrs. Uma Shetye, Mrs. Sweeny Viegas, Miss Tejal Vasulkar, Miss Sonal Mangalore, Mrs. Sheetal Bandekar, Mr. Savio Martin and Fr. Denzil Rodrigues SJ kindly consented to judge the competitions.
July 2017:
- Magdalene Memorial Inter-School Folk Dance Competition
Our students were the second runners-up at the St. Magdalene Memorial Inter-School Folk Dance Competition organized by Divine Providence Convent High School on 27th July 2017.
August 2017:
- Dnyan Prabhodhan Mandir Competitions
Master Warren Viegas was declared the Master Alphia at competitions organized by Dnyan Prabhodhan Mandir High School, Belgaum. - Inter-School Elocution Competitions
Master Rohan Mangalore won the first prize in the Inter-School Elocution Competition organised by R.H.Kulkarni Smarak Trust, Belgaum. - Treasure Hunt
The cabinet members organized a Treasure Hunt GENESIS on 12th August 2017 from 6:00 PM to 9:45 PM for the high school students. The students were searching for clues in the school campus with hand torch lights and had a unique experience. - Folk Dance Competition
On 16th August 2017 our students participated in the folk dance competition organized by South Konkan Education Society and won the first prize. - KREDENZ 2017
At the KREDENZ organized by K.L.S. High School, Belgaum, our students won the first place in live concert, second place in dance, first place in foley art (creating music using organic material) and second place in entrepreneurship. - Inter-Class Notice Board Competition
On the 16th of August 2017, an inter-class notice board competition was held. The theme of the competition was ‘Independence Day of India’. - Recitation Competition
A class-wise Recitation competition for the primary students of Std. I to V (I to V in English & IV to V in Kannada) of our school was held on 17th August 2017. The students were encouraged and motivated to participate in this competition. The three best students of each standard performed on the final day in the school hall before the students and teachers. Mrs. Jennifer D’Souza, Mrs. Renuka, Mrs. Nagaratna K.S., Mrs. A. Patel and Mrs. Kalyanshetty kindly consented to be the Chief Guests for the two day event.
September 2017:
- SCILIT (By Rotary Club, Belgaum)
Our students won the General Championship at the SCILIT. - INFINITUM VYOMA (Jain Heritage School, Belgaum)
Our students were the First Runners-up at the INFINITUM VYOMA organised by Jain Heritage School, Belgaum on 10th September 2017. - LAKSHYA 2K17 (Rabindranath Tagore PU College, Belgaum)
At the LAKSHYA 2K17 organised by Rabindranath Tagore P.U.College Belgaum on 16th September 2017, our students competed with 36 schools and won the General Championship.
October 2017:
- Arruppe Festa
The Annual Arruppe Fest was organized on 15th and 16th October 2017. Every student was requested to compulsorily participate in at least two events. Prizes and certificates were awarded to all the winners. - Anubhava Mantapa 2017
The students of the Kannada Club of St. Paul’s organized “Anubhava Mantapa 2017” – a Kannada Literary Event for the students of Std. I to X on 26th and 27th October 2017. The students of Std. II and III participated in the recitation competition, Std. IV and V in storytelling and handwriting, Std. VI and VII in Essay and Elocution, Std. VIII and IX in elocution and letter writing competition. Prizes were awarded to the winners.
November 2017:
- Junior KRONOS 3.o 2017
St. Paul’s organized the 3rd edition of the Junior KRONOS 2017 – an Inter-School Literary and Cultural Fest for the primary school students of eight neighbouring schools of Belagavi City. The students enjoyed the fest and actively displayed their talents in various competitions. This year, Divine Providence School, won the General Championship. - KRONOS 6.0 2017
The sixth edition of the KRONOS 2017 – an Inter-School Cultural and Literary cum Talent Competition, was organized by the Cabinet Members on 24th and 25th November 2017. Around 800 participants from 12 neighbouring schools of Belagavi and a school from Goa participated in this mega event.
This year K.L.E. International School won the gigantic General Championship Trophy, and Dnyan Prabhodhan Mandir School were the runners-up.
Shri Ramchandran S. IAS (Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat Belagavi) was the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Function and Miss Divya Shivram IAS (Chief Executive Officer – Belagavi Cantonment Board) was the Chief Guest at the Valedictory Function.
