AI Workshop

AI IN EDUCATION: TEACH SMARTER, SAVE TIME, INSPIRE LEARNING : In today’s fast-paced and computer-driven world, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an important part of education. Keeping this in mind, the Jesuit Management and staff members of St. Paul’s Institutions, Belagavi, participated in an enriching AI in Education – Module 1 Workshop on 29 August 2026.  The seminar was conducted by Fr. Robert Rodrigues SJ, Principal of St. Xavier’s Institutions, Kalaburagi. He addressed the participants in Kannada, Konkani and English, making the sessions comfortable and easy to understand. With great patience, he reached out to every participant, especially those less confident in using mobile phones and computers, motivating them to learn and explore AI.  Through real-life experiences, humorous anecdotes, songs and music, Fr. Robert made the learning lively and enjoyable. The workshop introduced teachers to the practical use of AI for effective prompting, lesson planning, classroom activities, worksheets, MCQs, assessments, PPTs, images, educational videos and routine school work.  AI can help teachers save time, improve teaching methods, prepare engaging lessons and create learning materials suited to different student needs. However, participants were also reminded of its limitations. AI can sometimes provide incorrect information, and teachers must verify facts and use it responsibly and ethically.  The seminar was a timely and valuable learning experience. It encouraged teachers to use AI as a helpful assistant—not a replacement—while continuing to bring human values, creativity, care and personal guidance into the classroom.  St. Paul’s Institutions, Belagavi sincerely thank Fr. Robert Rodrigues SJ for his inspiring, practical and enjoyable session.
