Caring for the destitute

The Cabinet Members of St Paul’s High School, Camp Belagavi along with their co-ordinator Sir Savio Martin accompanied by Sir Swaroop Kawale (staff) and Mr Deepak Khorgade (Support Staff) visited St Anna Home for the Aged at Ganeshpur as a part of their monthly outreach programme on 26th January 2023 the occassion of our 74th Republic Day. The students reached out to the inmates by giving them some daily requirements, grocery, fruits, towels and other materials. The students spent their day speaking to the aged inmates of the Home for the Aged and were touched by the stories shared by the old people who stay there. It is a gesture of ‘learning to care for their parents and grandparents when they are old’. Children need to be taught right from their schooling as to how to love and care for their parents and grand parents. The students gave a small programme for the inmates and expressed their love for them. The sisters of St Ann Convent and all the aged inmates we overwhelmed with joy to see that atleast someone came to see them and the inmates expressed their gratitude to the Students, the Staff and also a special gratitude was to Rev Fr Dr Savio Abreu SJ the principal of St Paul’s High School.
